I am sure he ment well. I mean he was a fantastically popular entertainer. But I just hate the inaccuracies of devil TV in the last century. I mean, thank goodness we don't have that problem anymore. Do we?

I suppose they were selling a product and the education system was not what it is today.

From a TV broadcast now avaliable to all on the internet: Quote "Braemar castle stands in the heart of the highlands and this song when I wrote it came from my heart". I have no doubt that everything that the great Andy Stewart wrote came from his heart. And I have no doubt that when he recorded these words he felt a bit embarressed by the geographical inaccuracies that the director would have been feeding him. He may even have complained but the big bucks from Southern Britain would have silenced anyones cries.

I hate the bullshit that this TV program (or programme if you're wantin) displays. It is a product for people who quite like a Scottish tune with a heart felt story behind it, but who gives a fuck about the facts.

Fact is that Braemar is a great place to visit. But it is'nt even in the Highlands! Does that matter? Reply
